Ready or Not 2: Here I Come – Everything you need to know (2026) | Samara Weaving, Kathryn Newton

Seven years after the original Ready or Not became one of the most talked-about horror comedies of 2019, the sequel is finally here. Ready or Not 2: Here I Come hits theaters on March 20, 2026, and it picks up right where the first film left off — literally moments after Grace survived the explosive end of the Le Domas family.

Samara Weaving returns as Grace MacCaullay, the bride who refused to die. But this time, she’s not just running from one family. The sequel expands the world in a major way — there’s a global network of elite families, all connected by the same satanic pact, and they’re all competing for something called the High Seat, a position that essentially controls everything. Grace finds out she’s been pulled into the next level of the game whether she wants it or not.

The biggest addition to the cast is Kathryn Newton as Faith, Grace’s estranged sister. Their dynamic is the emotional core of the sequel — two former foster kids thrown back together under the worst possible circumstances, fighting through old resentment while trying to survive the night. Sarah Michelle Gellar joins as Ursula Danforth, Elijah Wood plays a lawyer keeping the rival families in check, and David Cronenberg, Kevin Durand, Néstor Carbonell, Olivia Cheng, and Shawn Hatosy round out the new cast as members of the competing elite dynasties.
Behind the camera, Radio Silence directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett are back, along with writers Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy. The film premiered at SXSW on March 13 and currently sits at 81% on Rotten Tomatoes. Early reviews praise the gore, the humor, and Weaving’s performance, though some critics feel it doesn’t quite recapture the surprise factor of the original. Either way, this one looks like a bloody good time.
