ANTHONY JOSHUA has shared a social media video showcasing his full power on the heavy bag as he plots a return to the ring.
Joshua, 36, released a video on social media teasing his comeback with a brutal display of punching â describing hitting the bag as the âbest way to healâ.
In a 23-second clip on social media, AJ was smashing the bag as hard as he could. The post was captioned: âFighting through pain is the best way to heal.â
The former heavyweight world champion is gearing up for a return to the ring this summer after time away following a horror crash in which he lost two of his closest pals in December 2025.
AJ lost two integral members of his team and, more importantly, close friends â Sina Ghami and Latif âLatzâ Ayodele â in a devestating car crash in Nigeria.
Joshua has not fought since his emphatic win over YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul last December, but the Watford warrior is now edging closer to a comeback.
The two-time heavyweight champion was recently spotted in Ukraine with Oleksandr Usyk, whom AJ trains with now.
The former heavyweight rivals headed to the capital, Kyiv, with Usyk showing Joshua around.
AJ travelled to Ukraine to support Usykâs new boxing promotional company, Usyk-17 Promotions, and their debut card hosted in the capital.
This latest update suggests he is ready to step things up, with Joshua expected to enter a full training camp for a fight in the coming weeks.
Promoter Eddie Hearn has said he will be exploring potential opponents with Ring Magazine owner Turki Alalshikh and Sela for the two-time world champion.
The aim for team AJ is to secure a return in July this year, followed by a blockbuster fight around November with long-term British rival Tyson Fury.
Fury, in an interview with Sky Sports, stated he is determined to fight his domestic rival before he retires.
Fury returns to the ring on 11 April against Arslanbek Makhmudov and has called for Joshua to be his next opponent, should he get the victory on the night.
For now, Joshua is focused on one thing â getting back to doing what he does best.
And if this latest footage is anything to go by, he means business.
